About The Chef

I started cooking at a young age, working alongside my mother. I learned her best recipes and how to get the flavors “just right.” My mother is an amazing cook, and has been a true inspiration throughout my career. She owned a cafe – Rebekah’s – in Plainview, Minnesota, where everything was cooked from scratch and sourced ingredients from local farms. It was there I began my journey as a chef with an appreciation for true quality food, made from the heart.

Later, I was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America in New York and gained invaluable experience and knowledge as a chef. Throughout my career, I have had a goal of helping people eat better at home. Upon graduation and after working in various kitchens, I started a personal chef business offering meal prep for my clients. A few years later, that business grew into a cafe and catering business, The Tomato Vine. Sometimes running the cafe was a roller coaster but offered me many opportunities. I won cooking competitions, made a few tv appearances, cooked for professional athletes and even Prince. I also gained a small “happy family” with my amazing staff. The Tomato Vine was open for four unforgettable years until the pandemic hit in 2020.

Now I am back to doing what I love, which is being a personal chef. Being able to cook for my clients on an individual basis – be it weekly meal prep or private catering – means I am able to offer a customized menu that they are sure to enjoy. And that’s what makes me happy. 🙂
